Second Career

Did you know you can get new skills, those needed for jobs in demand now – and financial support when you qualify for Second Career? Apply for up to $28,000 for cost including tuition, books, manuals, workbooks or other instructional costs, transportation, basic living allowance (maximum $410 per week) and child care.\

To be eligible for Second Career, individuals must:
Have been laid -off on or after January 1, 2005; and
Be unemployed; and
Demonstrate occupational demand for the training request with evidence of good employment prospects locally or within Ontario
Individuals must also meet suitability.
Available through Employment North in Muskoka & Almaguin regions
Training Sessions take place in Gravenhurst, Sundridge, Huntsville.
