JOB DESCRIPTION

Cleaning by Design is looking for experienced cleaners to assist with cleaning of private cottages, short-term rentals and AIRBNB/VRBO properties throughout Muskoka and surrounding areas - See full description and location of where specific cleaners are needed for this season below.

TITLE: Cottage Cleaner WANTED

REPORTS TO: Office Manager

SUPERVISES: (No supervisory responsibilities; may lead a team of cleaning techs on occasion)

Purpose of Position: To provide exceptional cleaning experiences to each and every client.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Cleaning

· Learning, training and following the training system

· Providing cleaning services according to the work order

· Following all company policies and procedures on the job

· Clock in/out of jobs using designated process (app, paperwork, phone call to office)

· Inspecting own work. If leading a team, inspecting the work of others

· Picking up needed equipment for special cleaning jobs

· Completing any job-related ‘paperwork’ as required

· Maintaining a 5 star gold standard and above customer satisfaction rating

· Tagging and weighing laundry

· Following work orders and checklists

Confidentiality

· Keeping safe all private/confidential customer information and property, such as but not limited to work orders, access information/alarm codes, customer whereabouts, house contents/customer possessions

· Picking up and return to the office promptly (per company processes) any customer payment (cash, check) and customer keys

Communications

· Communicating with the customer while in the home/cottage/business performing job duties

· Communicating any customers needs and/or issues to the company customer service personnel

· Speak to clients and co-workers with professionalism and patience

· Reporting to the Client Liaison Manager and/or Team Lead if conditions in the property change or if you find the property in a condition not consistent with the work order

· Notify Client Liaison Manager and/or Team Lead of any damage you find or may have caused

Safety

· Following company safety policies and guidelines

· Carrying MSDS sheets for cleaning products in work binder for easy access and consultation

· Adhere strictly to the rules regarding health and safety

· Be aware of any and all company policies and procedures

Professionally representing the company

· Appearing clean and professional while working; wearing the company-stipulated uniform/work attire

· Washing, maintaining and replacing when necessary the work apron

Taking proper care of work supplies

· Sanitizing/cleaning of supplies including vacuum, etc

· Refilling cleaners

· Replenishing cleaning tools and equipment.

· Alerting the office if tools and equipment supplied by the company are damaged or

in-operable

· Maintaining company vacuum or, if using the customer’s, emptying it, sanitize it, and returning it to the designated location

(In some cases,) leading a team of cleaning techs

· Inspecting own work and work of others

Cleaners needed in the following districts/townhships:

District of Muskoka (Georgian Bay, Lake of Bays and Muskoka Lakes, Port Carling, Utterson);

Almaguin Highlands (Magnetawan, Sundridge, Seguin, Dunchurch/Whitestone) ;

Algonquin Highlands (Dorset, Oxtongue Lake and surrounding area);

Haliburton Highlands ( Minden, Dorset, Eagle Lake, Gooderham and surrounding areas)

Kawartha Lakes (Fenelon Falls)

Parry Sound

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week

Additional pay:

Schedule:

  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
