Position Overview:
As a Wine Merchant you will provide the Award-Winning level of exceptional customer service that we are known for! We provide you with a structured training program, ongoing learning opportunities, access to Arterra’s award winning wines & product knowledge…. all while working in a fun & flexible store environment.

  • Confident in ability to execute wine sampling program & provide information on products/pairing suggestions
  • Will actively participate in driving key performance indicators (KPIs) & store success thru meeting/exceeding store & personal performance goals
  • Ability to share responsibility in the overall function & flow of day-to-day store operations including receiving, product replenishment, inventory, merchandizing, housekeeping & maintenance
  • Experience understanding retail operation concepts like maintaining store standards, merchandise presentation & cash handling
  • Strong problem resolution skills with the ability to use good judgement in all types of situations
  • Opportunities to participate in community-driven initiatives, festivals & tasting events.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • High School or equivalent education is required.
  • AGCO Approved Liquor Retail Training Certification required
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting (up to 21 kilograms), standing, reaching, bending and climbing ladders.
  • Experience using laptop and basic computer programs
