About Us
Navigator Visuals is a high-end real estate media company based in Huntsville, Muskoka, specializing in cinematic property videos, photography, and digital marketing assets for luxury listings and premium homes. We work efficiently and care deeply about quality.
We are looking for a skilled Video Editor who loves creating modern, cinematic videos to support the photography and video services Navigator Visuals offers.
The Role
Your primary responsibility will be video editing, turning raw property footage into polished, engaging real estate videos that our agents will love.
A nice-to-have for local applicants is an understanding of shooting equipment and the ability to help with filming when needed during the busier season.
Core Responsibilities
Editing (80–90% of the role)
- Edit real estate property videos (walkthroughs, cinematic highlight films, social Reels cuts, etc.)
- Assemble, cut, colour, and polish footage into clean, modern, high-end deliverables
- Add music, basic sound design, simple motion graphics/titles when needed
- Match existing Navigator Visuals style and pacing
- Export and organize final deliverables for client delivery
- Manage and organize project files and footage
- Hit deadlines consistently during busy periods
- Opportunity to assist with exterior photo editing
Filming (As Needed)
- Opportunity to learn and train videography to assist with overflow projects
- Occasionally assist with or cover property video and photography shoots during peak season
- Operate mirrorless/DSLR or cinema cameras, gimbals, and basic real estate video setups
- Capture smooth walkthroughs, detail shots, and exterior footage
- Follow existing shooting workflows and style guides
- Opportunity to grow into a more shooting-based role if desired in future
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong video editing skills (Premiere Pro preferred, Final Cut etc. is accepted)
- Solid understanding of:
- Pacing and flow for real estate videos
- Music selection and cutting to music
- Basic color correction and exposure balancing
- Good file management and organization habits
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Laptop with ability to edit 4K 10bit 4:2:2 footage smoothly
Big Assets (Not Required, But Huge Bonus)
- Experience shooting real estate video
- Experience with:
- Gimbal operation
- Sony cameras or similar mirrorless systems
- Basic drone operating experience
- Motion graphics (simple titles, map animations, logo animations, etc.)
- Photoshop or Lightroom experience
- AI photo/video editing experience

Compensation/Schedule
- Paid by salary or hourly (depending on structure desired) on an independent contractor basis, as a monthly or bi-weekly retainer (No E.I. or HST removed from your payments)
- Position is mostly remote with ideal applicant being able to assist on shoots around Muskoka
- $40,000-$55,000 Annual Pay (Needed April-Nov, can take winter off if desired)
- $550 Annual Wellness Expense Account (Gym, Physio, Fun)
- Opportunity for:
