POSITION TITLE: Trust Clerk
DURATION: Full-time Permanent
CLOSING: Monday, September 22, 2025
Position Summary:
Wasauksing First Nation is accepting applications for a Trust Clerk. The Trust Clerk is a
permanent full-time position responsible for working with the financial and
administrative aspects of the trust fund & related activities. This position will be
responsible for the daily handling of administration, coordination, processes, and
communication related to Trust agreements, while playing an integral role in the
ensuring of compliance with such agreements, laws, and regulations. The Trust Clerk will be reporting directly to the Chief Executive Director.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Adhere to a code of ethics, code of conduct, and confidentiality when handling
private information of the Trust – this includes reading, understanding, and
complying, at all times, with WFN’s Employee Policies as updated from time to
time.
Maintaining accurate records of trust fund transactions, deposits, withdrawals,
and transfers.
Represent the Trust to the best of their ability and act in the best interests and
priorities of the Trust.
Working with the Trust guidelines set out in the trust agreements.
Planning and organization of Trust meetings, preparing meeting materials as
required.
Maintain and update databases relating to the Trusts.
Provide administrative support to the board of trustees, including meeting
preparation, record keeping, and follow-up.
Ensuring that funds are managed in accordance with the Trust agreement,
applicable laws, and regulations.
Other administrative duties include file management, meeting coordination,
and answering related inquiries.
Education & Experience:
Completion of a relevant diploma/degree with strong academic credentials in
business or office administration.
Knowledge and understanding of financial administration, bookkeeping, or
accounting, an asset.
1-3 years of professional administrative experience, with a financial focus.
Strong administrative, organization, and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Provide a current criminal record check.
Other Requirements:
Valid Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle
This position requires the individual to work with various families, youth and
children. To protect children, youth and vulnerable persons, Wasauksing First
Nation requires the individual to provide a vulnerable sector check
