Temporary Part-time Gardening Worker

Location: South River, Ontario
Employment Period: May to October (As Needed Basis)
Hourly Wage: $24.31 (As per the Collective Bargaining Agreement)

The Village of South River is seeking a Temporary Part-time Gardening Worker to assist in maintaining and nurturing municipal gardens from May to October on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and care for gardens primarily at Tom Thomson Park and the Village Office, as well as other smaller municipal gardens.
• Perform planting, watering, weeding, pruning, and general upkeep of garden areas.
• Ensure the gardens remain attractive and well-maintained throughout the season.
• Work flexible and irregular hours as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience or knowledge in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of garden care.
• Availability to work irregular hours based on seasonal needs.
