Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing excellent service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating kitchen equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
