BV Accounting & Tax Prof Corp is a small accounting firm which has been operating in the heart of Gravenhurst since 2011. We are a professional team which is supportive and encouraging.  The team at our office works together to meet the financial needs of our clients. The team is encouraged to grow and learn as well as supported in all aspects of the position.

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Seasonal Hours (February – April): 44 hours/week, including half-days on Saturdays

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and task-driven Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position involves working with a variety of industries, supporting both corporate and small business clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online QBO
• Prepare personal tax returns during tax season (February–April)
• Handle HST issues and filings
• Process medical receipts accurately
• Work with clients across various industries, including corporate and small businesses
• Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in QuickBooks and QBO
• Experience with tax preparation software
• Understanding of personal tax and HST regulations
• Previous experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $45,000 – $65,000 annually (based on experience)
Benefits package available after 3 months
