In this active, fast-paced role, you’ll help finish and prepare custom wood products that our customers rely on for their building projects. From sanding to painting, from stacking to shipping—you’ll be an essential part of the process that brings our high-quality products to life.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Paint Shop Laborer, you’ll play an important role in the daily operations of our finishing shop, making sure products are expertly prepared and ready for our customers.

  • Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the shop
  • Sand, stain, and paint wood products used in construction
  • Assist with flood coating and tailing operations
  • Stack and organize lumber and finished products
  • Move stock for processing and prepare customer orders for shipment
  • Set up, clean, and maintain painting equipment and machines
  • Keep the paint shop clean, organized, and running smoothly
  • Support the team with other duties, as assigned by management

What You Bring:

At Muskoka Lumber, we value people who work hard, bring a positive attitude, and are eager to learn. If you’re reliable, safety-minded, and enjoy working with your hands, you’ll be a great fit here.

  • Previous experience in a lumber yard, paint shop, or manufacturing setting is an asset
  • Comfortable with sanding, staining, painting, and material handling
  • Forklift experience preferred (training available if certification is needed)
  • Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to pitch in wherever needed
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving materials throughout the shift
  • Must be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test
  • Reliable, punctual, and a supportive team player
