Description

The role of this individual is to assist the Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor and Operations Manager as needed to ensure that the property always looks pristine and safe. The role encompasses a variety of duties and requires the individual to work well unsupervised, be hard working, reliable and able to problem solve.

Job outline - duties responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Maintenance duties (described below)
  • Change over duties (described below)
  • Painting as needed
  • Grounds / landscaping duties (described below)
  • Power washing
  • Knowledge of Club Rules (copy given upon employment)

Maintenance Duties (note seasonal duty transitions below)

  • May – October (Spring / Summer)
  • Duties as assigned to ensure that all equipment is clean, operational and tidy for use
  • Complete items on maintenance list (Items may include painting, villa deficiencies, power washing, weed whacking, weed product application on pathways, tree limb removal, minor gardening, etc.)
  • Goose feces pick-up and control as needed
  • Garbage pickup
  • Ensure paddles and lifejackets are kept in proper storage areas
  • Tidy Sports court and tennis equipment bins
  • Blow Sports court, tennis court, playground, and shuffleboard area and walkways
  • Rake and tidy beach front (organize life jackets, boats, paddles, loungers and fire pit area)
  • Collecting firewood
  • Follow up on daily maintenance requests
  • Check on common areas throughout day and reset items as needed
  • Enforce club rules and report to Concierge any items for follow up with management

October (Fall)

  • Assist with seasonal transitions including removal of furniture / shut down of facilities as needed

Turnover Support (Monday's and Friday's)

  • Clean BBQ (grills, warming racks, drip tray and counter tops)
  • Ensure BBQ operations and appropriate equipment (scrub brush, tools and lighter if necessary)
  • Clean, inspect and organize all patio furniture (when applicable)
  • Blow/ sweep/ shovel decks and villa walkways
  • Add water softener salt if necessary
  • Change light bulbs if necessary
  • Bring owner bins upstairs (some Carling owners)

General

  • Advise Management if work needing to be performed exceeds skill set.
  • As required, perform custodial work such as sweeping, mopping, trash clean-up, window washing, etc.
  • Ensures adherence to safety requirements. This includes responsibility for handling hazardous materials and chemicals safely
  • Move furniture and sporting equipment as needed on a seasonal basis (removal and reinstall)
  • Be visible and available to guests and owners
  • Perform any other duties required to keep the property and equipment in safe and operational order
