Location: Head Office – Huntsville, Ontario Travel Required: Muskoka & Parry Sound Districts Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) Compensation: Based on experience

🔧 About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Level 1 Computer Technician to join our IT team. As the first point of contact for technical support, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and excellent service across our organization.

🛠️ Core Responsibilities

User Support: Respond to technical inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system.
Troubleshooting: Resolve common software, hardware, and network issues (e.g., password resets, printer connectivity, application errors).
Ticket Management: Log support requests, interactions, and resolution steps accurately.
Maintenance: Assist with installation, configuration, and upkeep of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Onboarding/Offboarding: Set up user accounts, configure workstations, and manage access rights (Active Directory, Microsoft 365).
Network Support: Troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN connectivity issues.
Escalation: Refer complex issues to Level 2/3 technicians with clear documentation.
Documentation: Contribute to the IT knowledge base with new solutions and procedures.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

Minimum 2 years in IT support, help desk, or customer service roles (required)

Technical Knowledge:

Proficiency with Windows and macOS
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite / Microsoft 365
Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
Experience with ticketing systems

Soft Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Strong customer service orientation with patience and empathy
