Employment Opportunity: Housekeeping Positions Olympia Sports Camp

Housekeeping staff are responsible for the regular maintenance routines which help keep OSC clean and operational. They work with Outdoor Education Directors and the Facilities Manager as well as the Housekeeping Team Leader to ensure the preservation and development of the site.

Key Responsibilities

· Willingness to do what needs to be done for the benefit of the campers all round experience at OSC.

· Performing daily routine cleaning duties such as: buildings, washrooms, staff accommodation’s, coaches- teachers’ accommodations and programming areas, waste management areas and site cleanup

· Act as a role model for all camp policies’, procedures, and philosophies

· Perform all duties following Provincial standards of WHMIS in a safe and professional manner.

· Must wear appropriate clothing and safety equipment as needed.

· Help manage housekeeping product inventory.

· Complete a year end assessment for improvements as well as suggestions for up for next season.

Experience and qualifications

· Must have previous cleaning experience.

· Familiar with safe handling and storage of cleaning materials

· Must clear a Police-check and a Vulnerable Sector Screening check (for children and vulnerable persons)

· G- license(transportation) would be recommended / photo id needed (license 19 years of age)

· Preference will be given to candidate’s available for a 6-month contract (April-October)

· All rules and regulations alcohol/cannabis usage/smoking /excessive cell phone use will be discussed at personnel interview.

· Will be required to sign a seasonal contract.
