Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Employment Consultant to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals in overcoming employment barriers, developing career goals, and accessing opportunities for work, training, or education.
The successful candidate will provide one-on-one guidance, deliver employment workshops, and work collaboratively with community partners to create opportunities for success.
Key Responsibilities

Work with clients to assess employment needs, strengths, and career goals.

Provide individualized employment counselling, coaching, and support.

Facilitate workshops on job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing, and interview preparation.

Connect clients with local training, education, and employment opportunities.

Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners and employers.

Maintain accurate client files and documentation in compliance with program requirements.

Support a welcoming, inclusive, and trauma-informed service environment.
Skills & Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Human Services, Career Development, Social Work, or a related field.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong computer and database management skills.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain accurate records.

Team-oriented with a client-first approach.
-
Awareness of local labour market trends and employment challenges is an asset.
Requirements

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Clear Criminal Record Check.
