Day Camp Coordinator

Moorelands Camp…. because every kid deserves a childhood!

Tucked away on 45 acres of sandy beaches and dense forests, accessible only by boat is Moorelands Camp. Each summer we serve over 600 economically disadvantaged children and youth from Toronto.  It is our desire to see each child enjoy nature, gain social skills and experience personal growth; we do that through our intentional programs.

Working at Moorelands is demanding, challenging and rewarding! Our staff are positive, enthusiastic team players who  put the needs of others before their own. They are ready for the challenge of being a strong influence, a consistent role model, and mentor to the youth that come to Moorelands. Staff are 18 years of age or older.

Camp sessions are week long; staff enjoys 1 +½ days off in-between sessions, transportation to Toronto is provided for days off. As we are an overnight camp, staff are expected to stay onsite (room and board provided) throughout the week.

Day Camp Coordinator: Reporting to the Camp Director, the Day Camp Coordinator is responsible to deliver the Day Camp programs offered at Moorelands. The Day Camp Coordinator embodies the mission and community standards of Moorelands, trains Day Camp staff, develops and delivers the program, markets the program, registers campers, and oversees the experience and safety of all participants. In addition, the Day Camp Coordinator will support other areas of camp such as serving as assisting/leading programs and/or supporting the Office Administrator.
