Busser Job Description – Northridge Inn
The Busser plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests by maintaining clean, organized dining spaces and supporting the front-of-house team. As a key part of our service staff, the Busser helps maintain a smooth and efficient flow during meal service and assists in upholding Northridge’s high standards of hospitality.
Part-time | May to October | $17.20–$20/hour based on experience Hours may increase to full-time during peak season (July–September)
Role Responsibilities:
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including resetting tables and ensuring tableware is spotless
● Support servers by delivering food, refilling water glasses, and attending to guest needs as required
● Clear plates, glassware, and utensils in a timely and discreet manner
● Ensure dining spaces, patios, and public areas are presentable at all times
● Assist in setting up and breaking down service areas before and after shifts
● Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless dining experiences
● Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages
● Respond quickly and efficiently to guest requests or issues, escalating to servers or supervisors as needed
● Assist with special events and private functions, ensuring dining spaces are properly arranged

● Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is an asset but not required
● Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
