Boat drivers – magazine delivery

Spend your summer boating in Muskoka and get paid for it!

Dockside Magazine has openings for circulation crew members to deliver magazines by boat to cottages in Muskoka.

These are full-time, seasonal jobs of approximately 16 weeks duration, beginning around May 20 and lasting until the end of August.

You’ll be delivering magazines in Muskoka by boat and on foot. Some days will also be spent in the warehouse prepping magazines.

You’ll be part of an engaged and active team, travelling throughout the region. There will also be times when you’re working on your own.

You will be driving one of our 16-foot aluminum boats, placing magazines on several hundred docks a day.

We’re looking for people who can work independently, but who are also personable and able to offer a friendly greeting to cottagers. You need to be physically fit, and enjoy being outdoors in all weather.

You must have a clean driving record, a Pleasure Boat Operator Certificate, as well as experience handling a tiller-controlled power boat. (There will be a driving test on your first day.) Navigation experience (map or GPS) and familiarity with roads in this region are desirable. You will need your own transportation to the warehouse in Bracebridge each day.

We typically work four ten-hour days a week, but additional work – including some weekends – may be required at various times in the season. Expect to start early in the morning.

Base wage is $18/Hour with a year end retention bonus equal to $1/hour worked. For an overall pay of $19/hour
