Role Overview:
We are looking for a resourceful and engaging Business Development Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for identifying and connecting with potential clients to generate leads for MonuGrid solutions. The position involves conducting outreach, assessing client needs, and facilitating connections with the sales team.
Success in this role comes from building relationships, clearly communicating MonuGrid’s value, and recognizing business opportunities. While prior experience in business development or lead generation is an asset, we welcome candidates with customer service experience and the ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting. Training and support will be provided to ensure success in the role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential clients in the cemetery and death care industry
  • Conduct outreach via phone and email to introduce MonuGrid and generate interest
  • Engage with decision-makers, understand their needs, and assess potential opportunities
  • Qualify leads and pass them along to the sales team for further follow-up
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track and manage leads, ensuring consistent engagement
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align outreach strategies and share market insights
  • Provide feedback on customer inquiries and trends to improve lead generation efforts
  • Work independently in a remote environment, using organizational skills to stay on track

Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience is an asset. Experience interacting with clients, answering questions and guiding them toward solutions is valuable in this role. This could come from a variety of backgrounds, such as retail, hospitality, contact centers, or other client-facing positions
  • Experience in lead generation or business development is helpful but not required. If you have experience engaging customers, sharing product information, or identifying potential client needs, you may already have the transferable skills needed. Training and guidance will be provided to support success in this role
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting through phone, email, or other methods
  • Ability to adapt messaging based on client needs and responses
  • Comfortable using CRM software and online research tools to track and manage leads Training can be provided
  • Capable of tracking and managing outreach activities in an organized and timely way
  • Ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment while receiving support as needed
  • Comfortable working remotely, with accommodations available as needed
  • Bilingual in French or Spanish is an asset, but not a requirement
