Description
The Village of South River in seeking to hire a Seasonal Part-Time Snow Plow Operator.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who can work independently, is able to problem solve and takes pride in his work and care of equipment.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Public Works Operator.
This position will be from Nov 15th to April 15th and will primarily be snow plowing/sanding
the Village street from midnight-8am.
The successful candidate will have:
✓ Minimum Class DZ driver’s license
✓ Clear driving record
✓ Minimum 2 years’ experience in operating a snow plow truck
✓ Experience with backhoe/loader
The hourly wage rate for this position is currently $25.98, in accordance with the CUPE Local 4616- 03 Collective Agreement, plus an on-call allowance of $500 per month for weather monitoring and related on-call responsibilities.
