Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of construction processes and sequences. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring project success through effective planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Monitor project progress daily; adjust schedules and resources as needed to meet deadlines.
- Work closely with department managers to ensure they have what they need.
- Drive project success through strategic planning and effective coordination.
- Ability to interpret design plans including schematics and site layouts.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing construction teams and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Run weekly meetings and spot issues early.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Lead project meetings; communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and issues.
Requirements
- At least 3 years construction project management experience — residential or custom homes is a strong asset
- A track record of running several jobs at once, on time and on budget
- Strong with numbers — budgets, margins, and change orders
- Strong Interpersonal skills; a leader who earns respect from experienced trades without stepping on them
- Ability to build processes and systems
- Strong communication with crews, clients, and the owner
- Comfortable with construction software
