Description
Guardian Sundridge Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team.
As a Pharmacist, you will work closely with the Designated Pharmacy Manager to support the ongoing success of pharmacy operations while providing exceptional patient care and customer service. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about helping people make informed health decisions and is committed to practicing pharmacy to its full scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently dispense prescriptions in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all pharmacy policies, including opioid dispensing policies.
- Provide professional advice and consultation on prescription medications and over-the-counter products.
- Administer vaccines and assess and prescribe for minor ailments within the scope of practice defined by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Assist with ordering medications and health-related products from various vendors.
- Maintain appropriate dispensary inventory levels based on medication usage patterns.
- Support and contribute to a positive, productive, and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, professional standards, and applicable legislation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Ontario Pharmacist License and registration in good standing.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong customer and patient service focus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Positive attitude with a strong sense of urgency and initiative.
- Ability to balance professional pharmacy practice with business objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic healthcare team.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist.
- Experience with Propel pharmacy software is considered an asset.
