Role Overview
Northridge Inn & Resort is seeking a reliable and responsible Overnight Guest
Services & Property Attendant to support evening and overnight operations
during the 2026 season.
This role serves as the primary on-site contact for guests during overnight hours
and plays an important role in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth
operation of the property after hours.
The Overnight Guest Services & Property Attendant is responsible for responding
to guest needs, conducting regular property checks, maintaining the cleanliness
and presentation of common areas overnight, and addressing minor overnight
maintenance or facility issues when they arise. The role also supports light
overnight operational tasks such as laundry, common area upkeep, and early
morning preparation of service spaces ahead of the daytime hospitality team.
This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, sound judgement, and the
ability to work independently while maintaining a calm and professional
presence throughout the night.
Employment Term
This is a seasonal, fixed-term position from May 2026 through October 2026.
Employment will conclude at the end of the seasonal contract term unless
otherwise extended in writing. There is no guarantee of renewal or extension
beyond the stated contract period.
Depending on operational needs, early start opportunities may be available for
candidates able to assist with spring property preparation and seasonal opening
tasks.
Team members may also assist with end-of-season closing procedures, including
property monitoring and operational support during the resort’s seasonal
shutdown.
This position is part-time during early and late season, with the potential for
increased hours during peak operations (July–September).
Evening and overnight shifts are required.
Compensation
$18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience (+$1/hr overnight shift premium).
This position is not eligible for gratuities or tip pools.
Staff accommodation is not provided for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services
• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests during evening and
overnight hours
• Assist with late guest arrivals and early departures when required
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests or concerns
• Handle telephone inquiries and assist with basic guest needs during
overnight hours
• Maintain a calm, welcoming, and professional presence throughout the
property
Property Monitoring & Safety
• Conduct regular security and property rounds throughout the resort
during overnight hours
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and outdoor spaces to ensure guest
safety and property security
• Identify and report safety, security, or maintenance concerns
• Follow all resort safety procedures and emergency response protocols
Overnight Maintenance Support
• Act as the first point of response for minor overnight maintenance or
facility issues
• Address basic operational concerns such as lighting issues, equipment
resets, or facility checks when possible
• Escalate urgent maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate
management contact when necessary
• Document and report maintenance issues for follow-up by the daytime
operations team
Property Presentation & Overnight Upkeep
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of key guest-facing spaces
throughout the night
• Perform light cleaning of common areas, including lobbies, hallways,
guest washrooms, and entrances as required
• Assist with overnight laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and
organizing linens and towels when needed
• Ensure guest areas remain tidy, safe, and welcoming for early morning
activity
• Remove garbage or recycling from designated areas when necessary
Early Morning Operational Support
• Assist with early morning preparation of service areas ahead of the
incoming hospitality and service teams
• Ensure guest areas and operational spaces are clean, organized, and
ready for daily operations
• Support light setup tasks that help prepare the property for guest arrivals,
breakfast service, or scheduled events
Team Communication
• Maintain clear communication with the Operations & Facilities Manager
and daytime staff
• Record overnight activity, guest concerns, and maintenance issues for
operational follow-up
• Support a smooth transition between overnight and daytime operations

This role is particularly well suited to individuals who are reliable, observant, and
comfortable managing responsibilities independently during overnight hours.
Previous experience in hospitality, property care, facilities support, cleaning, or
security-related roles is considered an asset but not required.
Basic computer literacy is an asset.
Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from the property.
Reliability & Independence
This position requires a high level of personal responsibility and reliability. The
Overnight Guest Services & Property Attendant works independently for
extended periods and is trusted to manage guest needs, property monitoring,
and operational tasks without direct supervision.
Candidates must be comfortable working overnight hours, responding calmly to
unexpected situations, and ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and
operational until the daytime team arrives.
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
• Standing and walking during regular property checks
• Ability to remain alert and responsive during overnight shifts
• Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 lbs
• Ability to move throughout the property, including outdoor areas, during
various weather conditions
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the:
Operations & Facilities Manager
The role works closely with the Property & Grounds Steward and operations team
to ensure the property remains safe and well maintained.
