Food Service Back of House/ Line Cook

Description:

A Line Cook is responsible for their station's workflow and getting meals out on a timely manner. They cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Maintain a clean & tidy workspace, complete daily cleaning and station checklists and be a good team player. Experience preferred but not necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Follow instructions and recipes using standardized ingredients
• Adhere to health and safety food regulations
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area and tools
• Maintain a positive team environment
• Efficiently prepare stations to ensure a successful service
• Prepare and assemble menu items
• Arrive on time and be reliable 
• Work as a team with fellow staff members

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• The ability to follow instructions and recipes using standardized ingredients
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Previous experience is an asset 
• Ability to follow instructions
• Frequently standing and bending at station
