Finance Manager (Healthcare) – Permanent Full Time (On-Site)

Blue Sky Family Health Team (BSFHT) – North Bay, Ontario

Blue Sky Family Health Team is seeking a Finance Manager to support all on-site financial operations in a collaborative, mission-driven primary care environment.  This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role while contributing meaningfully to community healthcare.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Finance Manager oversees budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, payroll oversight, audit coordination, and financial systems administration.  The role also supports organizational planning and decision-making through financial analysis and insight.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor operating and capital budgets
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and funders including the Ontario Health
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, benefits administration, and banking
  • Coordinate year-end audit preparation and ensure compliance with GAAP, funding agreements, and applicable legislation
  • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Administer and maintain financial and information management systems

 Qualifications

  • CPA designation (completed or in progress) strongly preferred
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting or financial experience, including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Experience in non-profit and/or healthcare environments considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and publicly funded healthcare environments
  • Proficiency in Sage, ADP Workforce Now, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset

This is an on-site position based in North Bay, Ontario.
