Construction labourer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

All work is on Lake Temagami.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of job sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment
• Load and unload materials and equipment as needed
• Support skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including framing, drywall installation, and finishing work
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, digging, and carrying materials
• Participate in site cleanup at the end of each day

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed
• Commitment to safety practices on the job site
