Position Overview
Northridge Inn & Resort is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join
our Front-of-House Service Team as Bussers for the 2026 season.
This entry-level position plays an important role in supporting the delivery of
exceptional hospitality experiences across both restaurant service and
weddings/private events. Bussers help maintain clean, organized dining spaces
while supporting servers and bartenders to ensure efficient and seamless service
for guests.
Working closely with the service and kitchen teams, bussers assist with table
resets, food delivery, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of
guest areas throughout service.
This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in
hospitality and develop teamwork, service, and time-management skills in a
fast-paced environment.

Employment Term & Schedule
This is a seasonal, fixed-term, part-time position.
Employment is expected to run approximately:
May 2026 – October 2026
Schedules will vary based on operational needs and will include:
• Evenings
• Weekends
• Holidays
• High-volume wedding and event dates
Due to the nature of Northridge’s operations, weddings and private events
represent a primary service focus. Team members should expect to be
scheduled regularly for event service, particularly on weekends.
Work hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on guest demand, event
bookings, and operational requirements.
This position is temporary and seasonal in nature. There is no guarantee of
renewal, extension, or continued employment beyond the stated contract term.
Early Start Opportunity
Qualified candidates may be offered the opportunity to begin employment
earlier in the spring season based on operational needs such as event
preparation, training, or early-season service.
Any early start arrangements will be confirmed in writing.
Compensation
Hourly Wage
$17.60 – $19.00 per hour, based on experience.
Compensation complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA) and
will always meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
This role is not eligible for participation in the service gratuity pool.
Key Responsibilities
Dining Room Support
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas throughout service
• Reset tables quickly and accurately, ensuring glassware, cutlery, and
table settings meet Northridge standards
• Clear plates, glassware, and utensils promptly and discreetly between
courses or after guests depart
• Ensure dining areas, patios, and public guest spaces remain clean and
presentable
Service Team Assistance
• Support servers and bartenders by delivering food to tables when required
• Refill water glasses and assist with basic guest requests
• Monitor dining areas for items needing clearing or resetting
• Communicate effectively with service and kitchen teams to ensure
smooth service flow
Wedding & Event Support
• Assist with the setup of dining spaces for weddings and private events,
including:
◦ Table arrangements
◦ Glassware and place settings
◦ Service stations
• Deliver coordinated service during weddings and private events under
the direction of supervisors
• Maintain consistent service timing and presentation during high-volume
events
• Assist with event teardown and room resets to ensure spaces are ready for
future functions
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization during high-volume events
Service Area Maintenance
• Maintain clean and organized service stations and support areas
• Assist in setting up and breaking down service areas before and after shifts
• Ensure dishware and service equipment are transported safely to kitchen
areas
• Follow proper sanitation and food safety procedures
Compliance & Safety
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Handle food and beverage items safely and responsibly
• Abide by all applicable corporate policies, provincial laws, and
workplace regulations
• Communicate guest concerns or issues to servers or supervisors when
necessary
Team Collaboration
• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and supervisors
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude during busy service periods
• Support team members as needed to ensure exceptional guest
experiences
• Follow established attendance policies and scheduling expectations
Professional Conduct
Team members are expected to maintain professional conduct at all times while
on duty, including respectful interactions with guests and colleagues and
adherence to Northridge workplace policies and service standards.
Additional Duties
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervisors or
management
• Contribute to maintaining the high operational and hospitality standards
expected at Northridge Inn & Resort
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
• Eligibility to work in Ontario
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong work ethic and positive team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
Preferred
• Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, or food service environments
• Experience working weddings or large-scale events
Previous hospitality experience is an asset but not required. Training will be
provided.
Work Environment
This role operates in a dynamic hospitality environment that includes restaurant
service and high-volume weddings and events.
Team members should be comfortable with:
• Extended periods of standing and walking
• Carrying trays, dishware, and service equipment
• Working in busy and high-energy event environments
• Indoor and outdoor service areas depending on event requirements
