For over 25 years, Manitoba Place has been more than just a residence in the Muskoka community. It is a home built on compassion, consistency, and a deep belief that every person deserves dignity, stability, and the opportunity to move forward in life.

As part of the Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) program, our role is to support adults living with serious mental illness in a way that is both structured and empowering. We meet people where they are, and we walk alongside them — not ahead of them, not behind them — as they rebuild confidence, develop life skills, and find their footing again.

The individuals we support often come to us after experiencing significant challenges — hospitalizations, isolation, instability, and a loss of connection to everyday life. What they need is not just housing. They need patience. They need consistency. They need people who genuinely care.
