Overview:
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Alarm Technician/Installer. Responsibilities would include installation, service and maintenance of security systems including video surveillance systems and commercial grade access control. The Technician will work closely with our Project Manager and valued clients to provide a well coordinated, efficient and highly responsive installation and service.
We are located in Bracebridge, and operate around Muskoka, Toronto and Collingwood but are not restricted by those boundaries.
Job Skills/ Responsibilities’ would include the following:
-Installation, programming, servicing & troubleshooting of residential and commercial alarm systems, camera systems, both analogue and IP, access control and intercom systems.
-A working knowledge of computers and basic networking to install, configure and program various software.
-Running and installing conduit and cable, testing, labeling and terminating cables.
-The ability to solve problems that arise and carry out duties without direct supervision.
-Verify the system functions properly by testing equipment, connections and signal tracing.
-Identify and correct problems.
-Communicates daily with the office regarding delays, requirements and general status of jobs.
-Resolve issues and train end user while maintaining a positive relationship with client.
-The right candidate would have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and is accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
-Someone who is a team player and displays leadership qualities.
-Maintain secure work environment by following safe practices.
-Keep security information confidential.
-Stay current with new technology.
-Posses a valid driver’s license and will need to provide a clean drivers abstract.
-Must be bondable and undergo basic security clearance.
-Physically capable to lift 65lbs. climb ladders and operate lifts if necessary.
-Candidates who possess Personal Fall Protection, First-Aid & CPR will be considered first.
