Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant

Sundridge Veterinary Services is looking for a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Our clinic operates 20 hours per week, and we are looking for a dependable, compassionate team member who is comfortable working with animals and supporting the veterinarian in all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

Safely handle and restrain animals

Assist with surgery preparation, cleanup, and patient care

Assist the veterinarian during appointments

Maintain accurate medical records and complete required record-keeping

Lift and handle animals safely as part of the clinic team

Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently

Must be able to safely handle heavier animals with assistance from other team members

Comfortable handling and restraining animals of various sizes and temperaments

Comfortable working in a surgical environment

Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience/training is an asset

Compensation

Starting wage: $18.00/hour, with potential for increases over time based on experience and performance.
