Job Overview/Purpose: In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and finish. This position is critical to our manufacturing process and contributes directly to our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Paint Department

Surface Preparation: This includes cleaning, sanding, and repair surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion. This may involve removing old paint, filling cracks, and smoothing imperfections.

Safety Compliance: Following safety guidelines and best practices, including working with hazardous materials.

Material Handling: Safely handling and storing various paints, solvents, and other materials used in the painting department.

Communication and Teamwork: Effectively communicating with supervisors and other team members

Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues related to surface preparation.

Record Keeping: Completion of production cards

General Labour (all departments)

-Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products as needed
-Assist where needed in metal preparation, welding or assembly departments and special projects
-Complete daily production cards and other paperwork required for the area.
-Cleaning of machines and work area

Material Handling: Safely handling, moving and stocking of parts to production lines etc.

Communication and Teamwork: Effectively communicating with supervisors and other team members

Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues as pertaining to tasks.

Record Keeping: Completion of production cards

Essential Skills:

Technical Skills: Previous experience using hand tools

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various positions.

Attention to Detail: Ensuring a high-quality, durable finish and adhering to specifications.

Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and resolving issues related to surface preparation

Safety Awareness: Prioritizing safety and adhering to safety protocols, especially when working with hazardous materials. All PPE supplied by company.

Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with supervisors, team members, and other relevant parties.

Working Conditions:

Work involves exposure to various environmental conditions, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols.

Salary and Benefits:

TBD – Starting at $22.00 / hour (Based on Experience and Skills)
