Job Summary
We are seeking 2–3 skilled and reliable Cooks to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidates have a passion for great food, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Assist with menu items that accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions
- Ensure all food meets presentation and quality standards before serving
- Maintain inventory and accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas to uphold sanitation and safety standards
- Maintain kitchen tools and equipment in good working condition
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a similar cooking role
- Experience in café, casual dining, or high-volume kitchens is an asset
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen setting
- Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak seasons
Schedule
- Morning, day, and evening shifts required
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required
