Buchner Manufacturing Inc.

It all started with a simple desire to create something better. In 1979, Gerry Buchner, an aluminum siding installer, became frustrated with the quality of aluminum building products on the market. Determined to offer more durable, user-friendly products, he set out to design materials that were not only easier to install but would stand the test of time. From this vision, Buchner Manufacturing Inc. (BMI) was born.

In the early days, Gerry and his sons, John and Andy, handled both the manufacturing and installation of products. As the company grew, they transitioned away from installations to focus solely on production. Over time, BMI expanded its offerings, adding steel and copper products, vinyl siding, sealants, fasteners, metal roofing, and other exterior building materials to its lineup.

What began in Pefferlaw, ON, has since grown into one of the leading manufacturers of building products across North America and beyond. Today, BMI operates a large production facility that spans an entire city block in Newmarket, Ontario, and supports all of our manufacturing needs. We also operate four retail branches throughout Ontario, and our head office and training center are also based in Newmarket.
