WORK LOCATION: GBM’s Kearney Mine

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Site Operator executes the daily tasks and non-routine work to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Global Battery Materials’ Kearney Graphite Mine Site. The position is based at GBM’s Kearney Mine Site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete daily routine and non-routine tasks based on priority, as communicated by the Surface Manager and Site Supervisor including:
o Tailings Management System activities (water sampling, pH testing, equipment calibration, inspections, and routine maintenance)
o Site housekeeping across the office, shop, mill yard, tailings area, polishing pond, and roadways
o Snow removal and sanding during winter conditions
o Fueling and safe handling, storage, and transport of diesel and gasoline
o Operation of heavy equipment and road vehicles
o Minor repairs and maintenance of equipment and site infrastructure
o Movement and coordination of freight, fuel, and personnel across the site
• Ensure site security by securing the mine site entrance at the end of each day and reporting any concerns
• Complete daily surveys and daily reports
• Support and execute non-routine site activities and projects as assigned
• Adhere to all company Health & Safety programs and procedures including:
o Consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
o Complete daily Field-Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs)
o Actively participate in hazard identification, reporting, and risk management processes

Qualifications:
• First Aid Certificate is required
• Driver’s license is required
• Previous experience with carpentry, electrical, mechanical and/or welding would be an asset
• Heavy Equipment certification is an asset
• Must be physically fit to meet physical demands of position

Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently and take initiative
• Ability to follow direction and remain adaptable to changing work plans and program direction

Working Conditions:
• The regular schedule is 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; weekend shifts required.
• High visibility, hard hats and steel toe boots are required on site premises.
