- Supervising, coordinating, and coaching a 12-hour continental production crew
- Promoting and enforcing organizational policies and assuring adherence to Health and Safety
- Report and communicate production results, incidents, conflicts and issues in a concise and timely manner
- Issue daily shift reports
- Supervise support staff in maintenance, quality, and tool room
- Provide strong leadership by engaging employees, promoting accountability, responsibility while promoting a team environment
- Collaborate with Quality department and react to non-conforming product to ensure quality expectations are met
- Follow production priorities and resolve / communicate equipment concerns to the Plant Manager in a timely manner to meet production demands
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts (Nights: 7pm-7am)
- Shift Schedule: 84 hours per pay period
- +Week 1: MON – TUES – off – off – FRI – SAT – SUN
- +Week 2: off – off – WED – THURS – off – off – off
- 3-day weekend every other weekend
- 185 days off a year PLUS vacation
Skills, Experience and Education Required:
- 2+ years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
- Ability to effectively coach, manage, and support employees
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong working knowledge of OHSA, ESA and Human Rights legislation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Experience utilizing ERP software
