Resident Care Aide/ Helping Hands – Temporary Full-time or Part-time

Wages: starting at $21.10 per hour

Duties & Qualifications:

These general help jobs are designed to assist the Nursing Staff in the general care of our residents and give you a taste of a career in long-term care.  These roles are the right-hand to the nursing teams – As a Resident Care Aide/Helping Hand you will assist the nursing staff with duties such as, porting of residents, meal services, tidying of rooms, collection of resident belongings for laundry service, cleaning and sanitizing nursing equipment and acting as the second person for resident mechanical transfers.

What you will bring to us:

• Completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma • Clean and clear Police Record check, including the Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) • Desire/curiosity to learn what it is like to work in Long-term Care • Able to work any of the shifts in the Home (Day, Evening or Night), including weekends • Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job • Compassion, Positivity, Motivation, Integrity, Respect, and Fun
