Outtrip Food Co-ordinator (1)

Camp Tawingo is looking for energetic, positive, and hard-working staff to join our Kitchen Team! We run a fast-paced kitchen and hold high standards for the food we create and serve to our campers and staff. Our kitchen staff are managed and directed by our Certified Red Seal-  Executive Chef, Ian Hunwicks, and our Kitchen Manager, Gloria Lovo.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Organizing food for all canoe trips, including special food items to accommodate allergies and special diets
• Maintaining inventory
• Labelling and storing food
• Coordinating many different groups simultaneously
• Maintaining a clean and healthy work space in accordance with the Ministry of Health standards and protocols
• Assisting where needed in kitchen throughout the day
• Standing for long periods of time

Our Outtrip Food Co-ordinator is responsible for portioning and packing food for 1 – 3 night canoe trips. Our OFC will work closely with the Chef, Kitchen Manager, and Counsellors. Our OFC needs to be organized, able to plan ahead, pay close attention to detail, and understand schedules. Our OFC may be asked to assist with other kitchen duties if/when needed.
