This job is from a family owned business providing environmental services to long term care and retirement facilities for over 25 years. They are currently looking to fill an Facility Maintenance Manager / Environmental Services Manager position at their facility in Huntsville Ontario – Muskoka Landing.
Full Time – 75 hours bi-weekly (Some call in for emergency call in as required by needs of facility) Applicant must reside within one (1) hour of facility for emergency call in.
$41,000 to start plus comprehensive benefit plan after six months of service
Organize and manage all aspects of the environmental services department (housekeeping, maintenance, laundry) . The Environmental Services Manager performs basic hands on general maintenance, repairs and housekeeping duties associated with the facility operation. The candidate is responsible to ensure the facility and its equipment is in good repair and to maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors and staff. Responsible for supervision of environmental services department staff (laundry and housekeeping) including but not limited to recruitment, payroll, health and safety and training.
Successful candidate must have a post secondary DIPLOMA or DEGREE at a recognized College or University.
Experience in supervising staff is also required (2-3 years proven experience).
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, Proven hands-on maintenance experience in long term care/hospital or retirement community.
