Dietary Aide

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - up to 30 hours per week - days (600 AM - 300 PM) and evenings (1130 AM to 800 PM

Wages: starting at $21.55 per hour (certified) or $21.22 per hour (uncertified)

We have Permanent Part-time opportunities available as Dietary Aides.

The Dietary Aide works under the direction of our Manager Food and Nutrition and fulfills a variety of tasks within the dietary department. In this job, you will have the opportunity to:
• assist the Cooks in food preparation
• complete food preparation and storage duties, including the safe monitoring of food temperatures
• assist in delivering food to residents, visitors, and others within the facility
• setting up carts, trays, and tables
• cleaning equipment, dishes, work areas, etc.
As a Dietary Aide, you will build lasting and meaningful relationships with your colleagues as well as the residents in our Home while doing work you enjoy.

Requirements:

Completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma along with the Food Service Worker Program
Clear Vulnerable Sector and Police Record check
Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Desire and passion to work in Long-term Care/ An Interest in helping others
Detail-Orientation, Time Management Skills, Patience, Respect, Positivity, Motivation, Ability to have Fun
Ability to work shifts – days (630 AM – 300 PM) and evenings (1130 AM – 800 PM)
(Part-time staff typically work 5 shifts in a 2-week period with opportunity to pick up additional hours)
As mandated by the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, all workers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
