Reporting to the Director of Recreation and Culture, the Community Recreation Coordinator shall champion recreation, leisure, arts and community events as catalysts to a healthy and vibrant community. The key responsibilities of this position include: coordinating, planning and implementing municipal recreation and leisure programs for the town: liaise and support recreation services providers and community stakeholders; maintain a motivated team of recreation staff and volunteers: be knowledgeable in the areas of community recreation, special event management, business planning, volunteer and community development.
